Rapper turned Designer Andre 3000 launched his new fashion line Benjamin Bixby last week during London’s Fashion Week in Milan. During an interview, he described the line as vintage-inspired 1930’s collegiate looks and says his line appeals to consumers with an “eclectic point of view and a sense of adventure.” Earlier this month at the Barney’s launch he made sure to shoot down any “homo” speculations by stating
“Just because you like to dress well…doesn’t mean you are gay”. “My thing is the 1930s. You had rough guys who played football, but they were impeccably dressed. So now, if a guy wants to wash his face, they call him a metrosexual or whatever. source“
He also revealed that he will be releasing a new solo project as early as this year but there probably won’t be any collaborations to look forward to: “I’ve pretty much been working with myself. I’ve never really been that big on collaboration.”
Isn’t that like an oxymoron when you’ve come from a group? Speaking of Outkast, his partner Big Boi has dropped his longtime manager and there are rumors that he has considered joining Grand Hustle. His album “Sir Luscious Left Foot, The Son Of Chico Dusty” will be released October 28th.
